Matteo is an Associate in the Italian 'People and Reward' practice group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, which he joined in 2015. He graduated with honors in law from Bocconi University in the same year and was admitted to the Italian Bar in 2019.

In recent years, Matteo has advised major domestic and international clients on a wide range of employment-related matters. These include the social and employment impacts of cross-border M&A transactions, reorganizations, hiring and termination of top managers, employment litigations and implementation of company policies and codes of conduct.

Matteo has also gained substantial experience in data protection matters. After completing a master's in data protection law in 2018, he spent almost a year on secondment at the data protection office of a major Italian financial institution. His combined expertise in employment and data protection law allows him to provide comprehensive advice to clients on employees' privacy issues.

Matteo is actively involved in pro-bono matters, particularly in the diversity and inclusion area. Over the last few years, he has assisted several non-profit organizations with projects aimed at promoting workplace awareness.

Of Italian mother tongue, Matteo also speaks fluent English.
